On April 3, 2024, the Director of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Achyut Prasad Wagle, Vice-Chancellor of Kathmandu University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uddhab Pyakurel, Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Kathmandu University, on the occasion of their official visit to SIIT.

SIIT and Kathmandu University have maintained a mutual academic partnership since 2014. Over the past decade, both institutions have demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering academic collaboration that contributes to the advancement of higher education in the region.

Notably, a number of Nepali graduates from SIIT have returned to their home country to pursue academic careers and are currently serving as faculty members at Kathmandu University. This is a testament to the long-lasting impact of the collaboration between the two institutions.

With the strength of this growing alumni network and the shared vision for regional academic development, SIIT and Kathmandu University look forward to further expanding their cooperation in the years to come.
