On November 15, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Rianmora, Chairperson of the Industrial Engineering and Smart Logistics Program at the School of Manufacturing Systems and Mechanical Engineering, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, led a collaboration with Thaisangcharoen Service Co., Ltd. (TSS), represented by Mr. Chatchai Vorathanawat, Managing Director and an alumnus of SIIT’s Industrial Engineering Program, Batch 9.
This academic partnership focuses on studying and developing user-centric design principles for interior cabin product designs, aiming to enhance safety features and optimize usability for improved consumer experiences. The project promotes knowledge exchange in production systems within the electric vehicle (EV) industry, advances product design and development skills, and provides hands-on experience for students with modern EV technologies.
The Farizon Electric Bus, developed by Farizon, a commercial vehicle brand under Geely Holding Group, features a fully electric propulsion system and is designed as a Pure Electric Urban Bus ideal for city use and mid-range travel. The bus is equipped with an all-electric drivetrain delivering zero emissions, complies with international safety standards, and incorporates advanced energy-efficient technology.
The introduction of the Farizon C10E in Thailand marks a significant milestone for the country’s public transportation sector, transitioning it to clean energy. This initiative is expected to reduce air pollution and lower long-term operational costs by minimizing maintenance expenses and offering superior energy efficiency.
